Snow World at Star City

It’s a long break in the Philippines with no work from December 25 till January 4. The first working day of 2009 will be January 5, 2009. It’s the perfect time to bond with family, particularly the kids, so you may want to visit Star City and enjoy its Snow World feature.

The kids have worked hard in school and you deserve your hard-earned bonuses and/or 13th month pay. You may want to treat them to a place that is quite accessible and will not require you to travel for so long, with traffic.

Snow World in Star City is open Mondays to Thursdays, 4pm to 12 midnight and Friday to Sunday, starting at 2pm. It is best to call them at 833-4483 as operating hours may change from time to time.

Entrance costs P100 per person while entrance into Star City costs P60. Call them likewise for any change in prices or costs. They have a ride-all-you-can ticket, I think. I will post the information when I get it sometime.

The Ateneo Management Association is holding a Christmas Bazaar from December 6-7, 2008. This will be held at the Delicacies and People’s Village in Tiendesitas in Ortigas.

This announcement is being made for the benefit of Christmas shoppers, as well as interested concessionaires. So if you are an avid shopper or an entrepreneur looking for a venue to sell your goods, this is it!

I had first heard about water-assisted childbirth years ago from my Lamaze Teacher, Chiqui Brosas-Hahn. At the time that she talked about it, she mentioned that it can be more relaxing for both the mother and the child.

In the Philippines, you may want to check out Asian Hospital which offers water birth deliveries. Women who are about to deliver stay in a tub filled with warm water. This relaxes them, calms and soothes their nerves, and allows some women to deliver a baby without any anesthesia.
